After canceling tour dates and putting singing on hold after having throat surgery, Adele's made her triumphant return with her new single “Hello.” In an exclusive interview with Rolling Stone magazine, she claimed that vocal surgery once threatened to end her career, but luckily, the surgery was successful and added four notes to her vocal range.
Adele stated that she had to literally stay silent for months following the operation, describing her condition as “like someone put a curtain over my throat.” But looking back on the surgery, Adele said that the operation made her voice feel brand-new. Following this surgery, Adele goes through a lengthy, rigorous warm-up routines before every performance to protect her throat from any future damages.
During her post-op break from the music industry and fame, Adele received the wonderful news that she was going to become a mother for the first time in her life. In the midst of the news, Adele pondered whether or not having kid was going to be the right choice at the time. But upon birthing her child and raising her, she found solace in motherhood, disappearing any fears she had about the future. Adele said, “When I had him, it made everything all right, and I trusted everything because the world had given me this miracle, you know, so I became a bit of a hippie, an Earth mother.”After all she’s been through, and experiencing a healthier relationship with her partner and new baby, Adele is back!
